Much to my own surprise, I’ve now embarked on another Pitkirtly short story which I hope to complete before the 1st of November. I think the only word for this, although it’s completely out of character, is ‘yikes!’
This is a Hallowe’en story, ‘Encounters’, which at the moment meanders a bit too slowly through the set-up, in fact if I’m ever going to get it finished it will have to stop meandering soon and take a short-cut.
It may turn out to be a useful warm-up for November but I can’t help thinking it’s a new tactic for procrastination, since by now I should really be starting to focus on the Happiness Club and the deaths I already know will take place there.
